T-14 days

So I just checked out the Calendar. I am so excited to go to the airport and get on a plane. If I could, I would do it right now... I'm just not packed.. so that would be a small problem.

What is going to make this trip so amazing is the fact that I get to live with all the orphans in the village for 5 weeks after everyone leaves to come back to the US. I need a computer to take over there so that I can work on all of video editing that Christian Life Ministries wants me to do for them while Steven Gosvener and I are there. I am thinking about getting one of the really small little computers that I can take on the plane and put in my backpack. I talked to a buddy that was telling me that those little computers dont come with CD drives though, so I am thinking that I wont be able to do much video editing till I get back.
I still have tons of things yet to do to prepare, I like to make Jerky before I go, I have to put together all the pants and some shirts that wont stretch when I hand wash them, boots, shampoo for my noggin; I don't plan on getting a full on shower except once a week for the last 5 I'm there.. Just a ton of things that I havent started doing yet. ..and Ive only got another 2 weeks...

Camp Winema

June 14 through June 19 I went to Camp Wi-Ne-Ma.

Camp was really fun, I had a better time than I thought I would. All the campers were really awesome and ended up doing an amazing amount of donating to missions. The total that I heard from Chris Jones was around 2000 dollars.

Pictured above is the wonderful Water Zone that I got to experience. This being my first time at Camp Winema, I wanted to give everything a shot. I must say that some of the most fun I had was pushing and throwing kids off the dock. I also have to say that I got pushed off my fair share. Unlike some of the other counselors, I dont weigh very much more than some of those kids. they could pack a mean punch if they picked up enough speed. I distinctly remember having two other counselors on the the dock with me and the kids attempting to get to me to knock me off at the end. I would stand in the very corner of the dock and bait them, and as they would run to me, the other counselors would just bump them off (casually).

This is a picture of my Cabin. From Left to Right. Standing: Brendon, Graeme, David, and Jeff. Sitting: Tommy, Conor, Me, and Wyat. David(counselor) was taking the picture, so here is a picture of him too. Unfortunatley, the only shot I have of him was one that i think Wyat took when he was sleeping.. (sorry David)

David actully did some cheer-leading cheers from his High School days in front of the whole camp. it was pretty amazing. David if you read this, you should post it on youtube, so I can link to it.

My thoughts about working the camp and working with kids... Love it, I recommend it, I want to do it again next year. =)

Austin's Graduation

Well, I just came down to Gold Beach with Elliot and Greg, then we went in to see Austin Graduate. was a nice ceremony; fast ceremony. =) Then we all crashed at Uncle Mike's and Jenny's Place. I took some video of it, hopefully to make him a nice little DVD. Spent some time down at GB HS Football/Baseball field playing some catch and cranking some balls with a bat. that was nice, I dont think I have done that in like 10 years... Drove around and took some nice pictures today of some scenery down here.
Now we are about to head over to Tim Yantis's place to have a little BBQ. should be cool; I saw Mike fixing up some ribs and I know that we are going to be BBQing some Oysters too.. mmmm, Delicious.
